Stunning Sights Around Heber Springs, AR

We happen to live in a beautiful little town so it’s only fitting I start my blog about Heber Springs. We are a lake town, but there are many great places to ride with hills and trees for miles. Heber (as its affectionately called) offers water falls, hiking trails, camping, dining, fishing, rock climbing, and of course, water sports. We are about an hour north-north east of Little Rock so close enough if we need the feel of a bigger city. There are quaint little shops tucked around town and the locals are extremely friendly. We host cardboard boat races in July as well as a spectacular 4th of July fireworks display over the lake. The Spring Park has a terrific playground for younger children, a skate park for the older ones, and a sidewalk around the whole park for those that like to get in a little exercise. If more strenuous exercise is your thing, Heber offers several gyms to choose from along with a Community Center that provides a walking track, basketball courts, racquet ball courts, separate men’s/women’s gyms, swimming pool, and a hot tub…all indoors. We have several parades throughout the year and have even been known to have a Zombie Walk a time or two!
